These are the scripts for the person who is chairing the debate. In Parliamentary Debate, the person chairing is called Mr or Madam Speaker. In Cross-Examination Debate, the person is called Mr or Madam Chair. The scripts are designed for debating tournaments but can be used for classroom debates. If you are using them for class debates, you may wish to add a vote from the audience. You may also want to have speeches from the audience in a classroom debate.These are normally given between the speeches and the rebuttals. Feel free to modify these scripts in anyway that best suits your purposes.
